SAC Bomb and Missile Competitions

From getting bombs on target, efficiently loading and maintaining the aircraft, to simulating a missile silo crisis; and so much more; the Strategic Air Command Bomb and Missile Competitions were contests of skill and determination designed to push crews to be their best.

This October 30th, the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum’s Curatorial Team will host veterans of the Bomb and Missile Competitions. These SAC Warriors will present as a panel, offering our visitors a firsthand account of life inside SAC. Following the presentation and a Questions & Answer session our Curator and Collection Manager will open up the main artifact storage vault for tours. Visitors will find over 100 items connected to the SAC Bomb and Missile competitions that have not made it out for display. Visitors will also discover other incredible items being housed in our collection facility.
