Memorial Day Concert

Join us on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30 as we remember the men and women, who have died while serving in the United States armed forces.

The Museum will extend FREE admission to all Veterans, as well as active and retired military. All events will be held in our Atrium, located on the first floor of the Museum. Download our Museum App on your smartphone to view the Museum map beforehand!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

11:00 am: Presentation of the Colors by Offutt AFB Honor Guard
11:05 am: National Anthem performed by Cameryn Lewis
Cameryn has graduated from  Ft. Calhoun High School, where she Lettered in Choir and Band. She is involved in a before and after school program, where she teaches STEAM and coding.  She is enrolled at UNO this fall with a planned major in political science. Cameryn lives in Ft. Calhoun with her sister and parents. One of her passions is singing with the Worship team at Revival.
11:15 am: Memorial Day Keynote Speaker: Staff Sergeant Cody J. Meyer
Staff Sergeant Cody J. Meyer is an Enlisted Professional Military Instructor at the James M. McCoy Airman Leadership School, 55 Force Support Squadron, 55th Mission Support Group, 55th Wing, Offutt AFB, Bellevue, Nebraska.  He provides outstanding leadership, management, guidance, and instruction for over 300 Enlisted Professional Military students a year.  He leads his flight to become the frontline supervisors of our future airmen, preparing them to be professional, warfighting airmen who can supervise and lead Air Force work teams in support of the employment of Air, Space, and Cyberspace power.
11:30 am: Omaha Musicians’ Association Performance
Home to the Omaha Musicians’ Association, Local 70-558 of the American Federation of Musicians, Omahamusic.com specializes in the best live music in Omaha and throughout the Midwest. Nationally, many of the biggest names in the music business are proud members of the AFM.
