The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum Expands
Family Fun Carnival
ASHLAND, NE (July 2, 2018) – The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum is expanding its carnival to include an animal attraction, jugglers, more games, and more bounce houses.
The annual indoor carnival will be held August 4, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is included with general admission.
At 10 a.m., Wildlife Encounters will perform their award winning, highly entertaining and educational demonstration. After their presentation, they will offer opportunities throughout the carnival for visitors to interact with some amazing animals up close!
This event includes a stilt walker, juggler performances, Wildlife Encounters educational booth, a science demonstration from our Mad Scientist, face-painting and balloon animals. This year, the Museum is offering a special obstacle course along with a Shuttle Slide. Additionally, there will be two bounce houses dedicated to children under age 5.
Carnival games will be spread throughout the Museum and youth of all ages will have the opportunity to win free prizes. This year’s carnival is sponsored in part by Runza and Express Life Chiropractic. Runza Rex will be on site greeting all Museum guests from 10 – 12:30 pm.
The carnival is just part of the experience. The Museum is home to one of the largest collections of Cold War aircraft and artifacts in the U.S. Visitors can touch iconic aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft as well as learn about historic leaders and events. Guests can take advantage of the museum’s high-definition flight simulators, Energy Explorers exhibit and Children’s Learning Center with hands-on STEM activities.
Admission
The carnival is free for members and is included with paid admission. Parking is free. Standard admission rates: Adult $12, Military and seniors $11, Youth age 4-12 are $6 and Youth 3 or younger are free.
