LEONARDO DA VINCI: MACHINES IN MOTION

Leonardo da Vinci is a celebrated painter, sculptor, musician, architect, engineer and anatomist — but he’s most acclaimed for his inventions and designs. This immersive exhibit is a look into Leonardo da Vinci’s groundbreaking work and the secrets of the beginning of contemporary science and engineering.

The machines displayed in the exhibit were constructed by Worldwide Museum Activities and demonstrate the link between man and nature, and how man functions with and within the elements of nature.

Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion is the perfect educational opportunity for upper elementary and middle school students. Your class will pair with a knowledgeable museum educator for hands-on discovery and learning during your tour of the exhibit. And after you’ve fully explored this interactive two-hour experience, you can stay to learn about all things space and aviation!

  • Interactive displays of fully operational machines designed by Leonardo da Vinci
  • Hands-on experiences where visitors can touch and set machines in motion
  • Exploration of the principles behind Leonardo’s inventions
  • Thematic sections based on the elements – air, water, land and fire
  • Visionary inventions such as the helicopter, glider, armored tank and more
