Patriot Day Program & Lunch Free for First Responders and Military September 11, 2017
Ashland, NE (Aug. 1, 2017) – The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum is hosting a program and lunch event on September 11, 2017 in honor of first responders and military persons who have devoted their lives to maintaining peace and freedom in our country.
The keynote speaker for this program is retired Colonel Tony Deane. Deane is an army veteran of the Cold War, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Joint Guardian, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His battalion Task Force fought in the battle of Ramadi during the summer and fall of 2006.
Deane is the author of Ramadi Declassified: A Roadmap to Peace in the Most Dangerous City in Iraq and is an internationally sought-after commentator on national security and terrorism matters. He is a frequent contributor to FOX Business News and has appeared on WNYC’s “The Takeaway,” MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” and numerous other media outlets.
The lunch and program begin at 11:30 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. All military cardholders and first responders in uniform are invited to attend for free but must register in advance. General admission applies to non-members and all other guests; a complimentary lunch will be included with all RSVPs. Guests should RSVP by Sept. 7, 2017 online at SACMuseum.org.
General admission is $12 per adult, $11 per senior, and $6 for children ages 4-12 (all rates subject to tax). The event is free to Museum members.
