ASHLAND, NE (March 13, 2017) –
On April 8, 2017 the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum is holding a Spring Fling and egg hunt that will prove to be fun for the entire family.
The Spring Fling begins at 10 a.m. with an outdoor egg hunt for toddlers to ten years of age. The museum has hands-on activities indoors until 12 p.m. The indoor activities include a picture with the Easter Bunny, face painting, coloring contest, kite building, and activities by KinderCare Learning Centers.
KinderCare Learning Centers, the nation’s largest private provider of early childhood education and care, will host an opportunity for families to explore reading together, visit the Book Nook to inscribe books for donation, take a family photo and participate in other fun and educational activities. KinderCare’s newest center will open in Omaha in April.
There will be three Easter baskets given to those who participate in the coloring contest. Each contestant will receive a ticket after completing and hanging his or her picture. The prizewinners, selected by random selection of tickets, will receive a basket at 11:50 a.m.
The Get Smart Saturday workshop will begin at 12 p.m. for registered participants and the theme is “Candy Science.” Guests must register in advance on the museum’s website and the cost is $7.00 per child or $5.00 for members.
The outdoor egg hunt is free and general admission applies to those entering the museum. The Spring Fling event, Children’s Learning Center activities, and Black Holes: Space Warps and Time Twists exhibit are part of general admission.
General admission is $12 adults, $11 military and seniors, $6 youth 3-12, and free for youth under age 3. Guests must register in advance for the 12 p.m. Get Smart Saturday workshop.
