FAQ

My school group will have more chaperones than is approved with field trip rate (1 free chaperone for every 10 students). What will the other adults pay?

Any adults accompanying the group that are over the chaperone rate will pay $9.50. If you have more adults than previously provided to the Museum, they will be required to pay general Museum admission fees.

How does check-in work?

Your school group will check in at the nose of the SR71 with a museum educator. They will get a final headcount of students and chaperones, help you pay for any additional students and adults, and give a rundown of what to expect on your visit.

Will there be a place for our group to store our personal items or coolers?

The Museum does not have lockers available. Guests are welcome to bring their own bags, coolers and wagons to carry around the Museum. No glass containers or alcohol are allowed.

Is there a place where my group can sit together to eat lunch?

The Museum has tables available for groups to eat indoors – under the B36, located in Hangar A. There are plenty of available outdoor grass spaces as well, weather permitting.

My group needs purchase lunches for our field trip, who do I talk to?

You may reach out to our Kitchen & Catering Manager, Rick Phillips  (rphillips@sacmuseum.org) with any questions about lunch options.
