Preserving the Past to Fuel the Future

Your generous donations help with every aspect of our museum, from the preservation of Cold War aircraft to hands-on STEM education for the next generation. Thank you for supporting the SAC Aerospace Museum.

General Operations Annual Fund

The Museum preserves the history of the Cold War, space artifacts and the connections to our local community – help us carry on this legacy. Your donation will help sustain general operations, building repairs and maintenance and preservation of exhibits throughout the museum.

The Museum serves 25,000 students in educational programs annually. These programs include field trips, outreach, afterschool programming, workshops, camps, and overnights focused on STEM curriculum. Your donation could help inspire the next scientist, engineer or space explorer.

A single aircraft takes thousands of hours to restore. Although many of those hours are provided by volunteers, the material and equipment are very costly. Your donations toward tools, paint, machinery, and staff help preserve history.

SAC Aerospace Museum Charitable Donation Policy:

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and strive to balance our responsibility to be good stewards of our financial resources and our role as an important partner to our community. Though we would like to grant all requests received, hundreds of requests reach our facility annually and we can only provide a limited number of passes each year.

We prioritize support for STEM education and other requests that align with our mission to inspire the discovery of flight and space exploration. Priority will also be given to requests by organizations that provide services in our service area of Cass County, the neighboring Lincoln and Omaha metro areas, and western Iowa.

Please note:

  • We only give once per year to each beneficiary group, thereby allowing us to expand the number of organizations SAC Aerospace Museum can aid.
  • We do not issue monetary donations.
  • Donations are limited to fundraising events only; we do not provide door prizes.
  • SAC Aerospace Museum reserves the right to deny any request at its sole discretion; receipt of donations in prior years does not guarantee continued donations in any subsequent years.

Historical Artifact Donations

The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum accepts donations of objects and artifacts that align with the Museum mission and meet our current collection needs. As outlined below, the museum follows a policy of selective acquisition. Each Donation request is greatly appreciated and will be thoughtfully considered by the museum’s curation team to determine if the donation is an appropriate fit for the museum’s mission and in line with the acquisition terms.

In order to assist us with the review of your proposed donation, please fill out the form below and fully describe your item(s). Due to limited space and resources, not all artifacts submitted for consideration can be accepted into the collection.

Please note that the museum does not accept “walk-in” donations and requires this form to be submitted in order to start the donation application process. Thank you for considering making a permanent donation to the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum.
