In Memory of Wally Funk

As a member of the Mercury 13, Wally completed the same astronaut testing as the Mercury 7 but was never given the opportunity to fly because she was a woman. She spent decades advocating for women in aviation and aerospace before finally reaching space in 2021 at the age of 82.

Wally’s dedication to aviation and her determination to keep pursuing her dream inspired people around the world. We remember her life, her accomplishments, and the path she helped create for future generations.
